Mariannelund

You can easily go by bike to Mariannelund (2 km). It is a small village with some old buildings. The village has 1600 inhabitants and a lot off things to offer:


Two supermarkets, Ica or Konsum, a healthcentre with pharmacy, a bank with possibility to draw money, a gasoil station, a library with tourist information (also entrance to a computer), a pizzeria, a restaurant and a cafeteria. There is also a candy factory. (Karamellkokeri)

Stuga for rent close to Spilhammars camping.

This 6 persons stuga with a fantastic view over the lake Skruven, is situated near the campsite. You have also the opportunity to buy every morning fresh bread at the campsite. It is fully equipped with a living room, kitchen, shower, toilet and 2 bedrooms at the top. In the lake Skruven you can catch trout and salmon. A fishing license you can buy at the campsite. In the other lakes, nearby the campsite you can catch fishes for all other species, such as:

Eel, pike, perch, trout etc.

 

Mini golf

This you can play next to the restaurant Sommartorpet on a distance of 20 meters from the campsite.

 

Canoes / Rowing boats

You can rent them at the campsite for make a pleasant trip on the lake.

 

To walk

On the campsite we have a card with walking routes / paths in different sizes:
2½ , 5 and 10 km.

Sevedeleden

It is also possible to go for a walk in 3 stages from the campsite. You can rent a place or cottage on the campsite, and walk one stage every day. We can bring you and pick you up, so you can stay on the same place at the campsite.

Vimmerby

Everything is build on scale, as child you go through the big human world. Astrid Lindgrens world is especially built for children, but adults can also have a lot of fun there. Is also a book and film from Astrid Lindgren. You can also think about: houses North, Middle, and South. There are living three families and there children and they are playing with each other. Nature

If you are interested in nature, the highlands off Småland are a very good place to be. You can go by boat to cranes or take a walk through the bushes and look at elks foxes etc. ( You can also ask the camping owner )

 

Fishing in Sweden / Mariannelund

Salmon and trout fishing in the lake Skruven. In the lakes which are close to the campsite you can catch fresh water fishes. Fishing licenses for the lakes and also for salmon- or trout fishing you can buy at the campsite, with the gasoil station and at the tourist office in Mariannelund. For more information about fishing in Sweden, please come to the reception.
